Postby MariaG » Tue Dec 04, 2012 2:45 pm

Hello,

I would very appreciate to know, how do you convert the affymetrix genotypic files (birdseed-v2.txt) into GenABEL/Plink format?

thanks in advance

Maria, how do the files look like? - what is the format? Small example?
Note that (Gen)ABELs are dynamically developing; while this post is intended to provide full information at the time of posting, please read on further posts, if any, as the topic may be updated with novel solutions at a later stage.

best regards,
Yurii

Yurii, thanks for answer :)
I've solved the problem by using Python to rewrite the data format
I just thought that's there is already a common way of doing it ;)
